The Tamarin Santana Golf Club, located just beside Nongsa Point Marina is the first course in the area designed by Jack Nicklaus. It has been strategically designed with sculptured bunkers and contoured greens, however only 9 of the 18 holes of the ‘golden bear’ course have been completed. Although it is only a 9 hole course do not be fooled as it is an extremely tough test of golf.The 1st hole a short par 4 measuring 350 yards and played from a high tee to a wide fairway gives you the impression that this is going to be easy – but that will not be the case if you do not hit an accurate drive as there is O.B. right & 2 extremely inviting fairway bunkers, not to mention the sloping fairway. If you get the first out of the way in regulation you will be happy, however you will now start meeting longer water holes with small and tight landing areas!
