Concert The Coro De Camara De Lisboa in Borobudur

TOWARD AN INTERNATIONAL CONCERT THE CORO DE CÂMARA DE LISBOA IN BOROBUDUR FOR 500 YEARS ANNIVERSARY OF THE COMING PORTUGAL TO INDONESIA.

Strung alone the equator, the largest archipelago INDONESIA, has unique treasure where beauty of nature is matchless, great, varied and awe inspiring. The culture is rich and diverse, while pleasure that offers entertainment is ENDLESS. BOROBUDUR is one of the greatest monuments, built in 750 AD; 300 years BEFORE Cambodia’s Angkor Wat.

Portugal has specific historical background to Indonesia from 1511 including historical relationship against the East Timor. Such document is now kept in the National Museum of Jakarta states an agreement between Kasultanan Sunda and Portuguese as a reason Kesultanan Demak succeed to set out Portuguese in 22 June 1527 from Sunda. Now, June 22 is The Anniversary of Jakarta (The Capital of the Republic).

In coming 2011, The Lisbon Chamber Choir will be on tour in concerts in, Kuala Lumpur, Cameron Highlands, Singapore and Indonesia, singing a mixed repertoire that includes Portuguese classic and popular music. The Coro de Câmara de Lisboa (Lisbon Chamber Choir) was founded in 1978, by Prof. Teresita Gutierrez Marques, as Lisbon National Conservatory’s chamber choir. They have performed several world premières. This tour is confirmed being an anniversary of 500 years of the important Portugal historical movement to Malaka in the 1511. Indonesia, as a part of history will celebrate in such colosal events by a concert in Borobudur temple.

To participate in this amazing event, we held a countryside cycling start from Jogja historical city and finish at Borobudur. This extraordinary cycling is to participated by group and individual cyclists. Start will be 07.00 AM then bike through villages, rice fields, agriculture farms, crossing the rivers, view the active volcano of Merapi. And stops in several villages for traditional performances, fruits, snacks and get a fresh breeze air. Finish will be on lunch time in the Borobudur temple park. Distance is + 65 KM, no up cycling. Road is easy. This event is schedule in July 2011. Fixed date to be adviced.
